Shonka Research Associates, Inc.

Shonka Research Associates, Inc. (SRA), incorporated in 1987, has been a primary subcontractor for two major dose reconstruction studies conducted at the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory and the Oak Ridge Reservation. SRA staff expertise in database design and document management, document searching, and source term development was instrumental to the success of these projects. SRA staffs have also supported four litigation cases, including two which involved development of source terms, uncertainties and reconstruction of the doses from nuclear facilities. SRA has developed and patented computerized radiation detection equipment that is in wide scale use for decontamination and decommissioning of obsolete nuclear facilities.

SRA also provides services in the areas of analytical modeling especially as applied to the measurement of radiation and radiation transport; radiation measurement and its uncertainty; and software development and validation and verification.
