An updated version of the Interim Report of CDC’s LAHDRA project is now available.

While every section of the LAHDRA Interim Report has been revised, the most significant changes we have made in Version 5 include:

  • Updated the summary of the document review effort and progress made (Chapter 3);
  • Expanded the description of D-Building plutonium processing (mostly the metallurgical steps; Appendix A);
  • Added some discussion of plutonium release fractions and dispersion of D-Building effluents (Appendix A);
  • Added a new appendix on the Trinity test and associated information relevant to potential public impacts (Appendix N);
  • Expanded the chronology of accidents and incidents at LANL (Appendix L);
  • Expanded the description and listing of available Health Division reports (a very valuable records set; Appendix H);
  • Updated the discussion of the prioritization of chemicals (Chapter 5);
  • Updated the discussion of development of residential areas around Los Alamos (Chapter 6); and
  • Added a summary of July 2006 public meeting (Appendix M).
